Fireworks
The history of fireworks products in Liuyang spans more than
1300 years, and was well known worldwide. It goes like that
" the earliest fireworks came into being in the Tang Dynasty
(7th--10th century), and Chinese fireworks manufacturer began
to flourish during Song Dynasty; and was Well established during
Qing Dynasty, had become the celebration gifts of Festival of
lanterns. In Jiaqing years, Liuyang firecracker was even more
developed, there were more than three hundred manufacturing
workshop in the city, more than 2500 workman, annual produce
has been over 140,000boxes. During Tongzhi years, it developed
to annual produce was 250,000 or more. There were many traveling
merchants who were come from Guangdong, Shanxi, and Shandon,
distributed Liuyang firecrackers. During early Guangxu years,
firecrackers were exported to Southeast Asia, and had become
a famous product and were the representative of Hunan
firecracker. In
Republican years, Liuyang fireworks was exported to more than
twenty countries and regions including Europe, Asia and America.
